One of your prospective trainees for the Judicial program, Mr Hamayun Dilawar, Session Judge from Pakistan, is an extremely controversial and dubious personality.
Justice Dilawar has sided with the military establishment to imprison Pakistan’s biggest democratic leader, Imran Khan. Justice Dilawar has completely overlooked his professional responsibilities and has issued a hastened verdict about Khan, moments before flying off to the UK today, August 5th.
Several social media posts were found on Mr Dilawar’s facebook accounts that clearly suggest that he was politically motivated against Khan and his party. Still, he chose to hasten the verdict and overlooked all the basic codes of judicial ethics to ensure that Pakistan’s most prominent politician is jailed without a fair trial.
We request and strongly suggest that his presence among trainees is reconsidered and revoked, in order to preserve the sanctity of your institution and this event.
