Full moon lunar eclipse (blood moon) today
The red moon
“Bloody Moon” yaani خونی چاند ایک فلکیاتی مظہر ہے جو اُس وقت ہوتا ہے جب چاند گرہن (Lunar Eclipse) لگتا ہے۔
کیسے ہوتا ہے؟
سورج، زمین اور چاند ایک سیدھی لائن میں آ جاتے ہیں۔
زمین سورج اور چاند کے درمیان آ کر سورج کی روشنی کو روک لیتی ہے۔
زمین کا سایہ جب چاند پر پڑتا ہے تو چاند گرہن ہوتا ہے۔
پھر چاند سرخ کیوں لگتا ہے؟
زمین کا ماحول (atmosphere) سورج کی روشنی کو فلٹر کر دیتا ہے۔
نیلی اور ہری شعاعیں بکھر جاتی ہیں جبکہ سرخ روشنی زمین کے ماحول سے مُڑ کر چاند تک پہنچتی ہے۔
اس لیے چاند سرخی مائل یا خون کی طرح سرخ نظر آتا ہے۔ اسی کو “Bloody Moon” کہتے ہیں۔
یہ ایک بالکل قدرتی مظہر ہے اور صدیوں سے دیکھا جا رہا ہے۔
