Weaving Update!

This week, we are doing the Angus Ancient Heavy Weight Tartan Fabric. This is a light blue and black-based tartan with orange overchecks.

The Earldom of Angus, one of the most ancient dignities in Scotland, was granted to Gilchrist in the twelfth century. In the thirteenth century, however, the original Celtic line became extinct. Following forfeiture, the earldom subsequently passed into the hands of the Stewarts.

When you buy Barathea Jacket from us, it's always a made to measures jacket. A size chart is also given for your reference, but please be sure that you can ask for any measurements change or even a whole new body pattern being made free of cost for you. If you prefer, our sizing experts can take your measurements on a video call so we can assure a quality fit with elagant stitch all the time.

The Argyll jacket is generally worn open, with a kilt in any tartan, and a belt and buckle. For daytime wear the Argyll jacket with an ordinary shirt and tie plus day-wear sporran. For formal dress wear with a wing collared shirt and bow tie plus semi-dress sporran, and ghillie brogues.
