This is the second time I’ve made this pattern. I love making it with flannel as it’s so cozy. It’s a great way to use batting scraps as well.

Here is the unveiling of my hand quilted Modern Log Cabin quilt. I used #8 perle cotton, and it took around 4 months to complete.

Visiting NYC for a few days so I had to wander around in Mood Fabrics. Also went to the Garment District to get a photo of the man sewing and the giant button with the needle. There are so many fabric shops and trim shops. You can let your imagination go wild with ideas.

Today’s progress. I look forward to the time I can sit and stitch. I decided to use perle cotton #8 and do bigger stitches because I love how it adds texture to the quilt. This variegated thread is making my heart so happy 🥰🥰

Doing some floor work in the gym today 😂😂. I’m basting this one for hand quilting. It will be one of my slow stitch projects.

In spite of spending a couple of hours picking out stitches that I wasn’t pleased with, progress is being made. Ideas are still unfolding so the outcome will be a surprise for me as well 🥰.

I’m really excited to see where this goes. Just starting to quilt it and there are so many possibilities. I hope the idea in my mind will translate onto the quilt.
