Everything Was New.
So Was I.
I had never run a corporates VIP event before. Not a single one. And yet, there I was placed in an important role, surrounded by moving parts, unfamiliar faces, and the beautiful, organised chaos that comes with any live event. Nothing was handed to me with a manual. Nothing came with a guarantee.
I could have panicked. Instead, I walked through it. Step by step. Eyes open. Observing everything around me, the energy in the room, the way people moved, the unspoken dynamics, the small moments that others missed. I didn't have experience behind me. But I had presence.
"It was messy. And I moved through it anyway calmly, clearly, with my feet on the ground."
That day taught me something I will not forget: you don't need to have done something before to show up fully for it. You just need to be willing to walk in and stay present.
