🪫The Power of Being

Everything Was New.
So Was I.

I had never run a corporates VIP event before. Not a single one. And yet, there I was placed in an important role, surrounded by moving parts, unfamiliar faces, and the beautiful, organised chaos that comes with any live event. Nothing was handed to me with a manual. Nothing came with a guarantee.

I could have panicked. Instead, I walked through it. Step by step. Eyes open. Observing everything around me, the energy in the room, the way people moved, the unspoken dynamics, the small moments that others missed. I didn't have experience behind me. But I had presence.

"It was messy. And I moved through it anyway calmly, clearly, with my feet on the ground."

That day taught me something I will not forget: you don't need to have done something before to show up fully for it. You just need to be willing to walk in and stay present.

When things feel stuck and you’re going in circles, you can do this:
1. Pause. Take a step back and breathe.
2. Get clear. Ask yourself: “What’s missing here? Am I so caught up in emotions that I’ve lost sight of the actual goal?”
3. Zoom out. Look at the whole picture again, this brings clarity and helps you realign with what truly matters.
4. Refocus and act. Return to your goal with a calm mind, then take immediate action.
5. Take ownership. Don’t wait for someone else to figure it out or lead the way. Step up, learn what’s needed, and make it happen.
6. Just do it and you will watch immediate progress unfold right before your eyes.
7. Remember: these repeating patterns aren’t punishments. They’re lessons showing up for you, not against you, nudging you to grow and experience life differently.

Music is playing.
Everyone is moving.
But your body just… stays still.

I’ve been there before.

It’s not that you don’t want to enjoy.
It’s just that your body isn’t used to letting go.

Movement can feel like:
being seen,
feeling emotions,
losing control.

So the body holds.
It stays guarded.

And that’s okay.

You don’t have to force yourself to move.

Start small.
One breath.
Soften your shoulders.
A slight sway.

Your body is slowly learning that it’s safe again.

For a long time, I had a strong smell coming from the top of my head.
It wasn’t about hygiene.
It was just… always there.

I didn’t understand it then.

Now I see it differently.

I was living mostly in my head.
Overthinking.
Carrying responsibility.
Trying to figure everything out alone.

When the mind doesn’t rest, the body builds pressure.
Sometimes that pressure releases through heat and smell.

It wasn’t something to be embarrassed about.
It was my body’s way of saying:
‘You’ve been carrying too much up here.’

When I slowly learned to soften, to drop from my head into my body,
the smell faded naturally.

Your body is not against you.
It may just be asking you to put something down.

Does your gut swing between constipation and diarrhoea and you don’t know why?

It’s not just about food.
It’s your body reflecting your inner tension.
Constipation = holding too much in, trying to control, not letting go
Diarrhoea = fear, urgency, wanting to escape

Extreme swings mean your body doesn’t know if it’s safe to hold or release.

Pause for a moment.
Place your hand on your belly.
Take a slow breath.
Ask yourself: What am I holding? Where do I feel like running away?

Your body isn’t punishing you, it’s asking for safety and space to process.

What your body is telling you?
Sometimes our stomach reacts before we even know why.

Diarrhoea isn’t always about food, it can be your body responding to fear, rejection, or the urge to run away.

Before a job interview.
After an arguement.
When you feel judged or pushed away.

Your body is not being dramatic.
It’s trying to protect you.

Pause.
Place your hand on your belly.
Take a slow breath.
Ask yourself: Where am I afraid? Where do I want to escape from?

Your body just wants to feel safe enough to stay.

Constipation is not just about food.

There was a time I didn’t realise my body was reflecting how tightly I was holding onto life.

Holding stress.
Holding emotions.
Holding control.
Holding things I didn’t feel ready to release.

The gut is meant to process and let go.
When we don’t feel safe to release emotionally, the body can slow down too.

If this is you, pause for a moment.
Place your hand on your lower belly.
Take a slow breath.
And gently ask yourself:

What am I still holding onto?

Your body is not against you.
It may just be asking for permission to let go.
