We believe activities should be EASY to set up. 😜 No need for fancy set ups of dinosaur lands or creating MARS in sensory bins.. you just need some useful tools that you can use over and over again! 🥲

Too many beautiful set up on Ig and Pinterest may make us guilty that we are not “good parents” by not doing elaborate set ups. We will be sharing PRACTICAL simple set ups that may NOT be pretty, hoping to inspire you 💕

YAG is moving into the direction of SENSORY PLAY!

Some of the benefits of sensory play for BABIES & TODDLERS:
• Helps to build nerve connections in the brain
• Encourages the development of motor skills
• Supports language development
• Teachers ‘scientific thinking’ and problem solving
• Can involve mindful activities which are beneficial for all children
• Helps greatly in sensory “overload”. For eg. Fussy eaters may benefit greatly for them to know the different textures of food are SAFE. Children who are more reserved outdoors, may learn to regulate these emotions through safe sensory play.

Laura is approaching 2.5 years and we have seen great benefits through sensory play (even when she was a 5 months old baby). At this age, simple sensory activities keeps her occupied for up to 45min to an hour which is a LONG time for her age.

L’s eyes lights up and she gets so excited at so many things I never noticed before having her in my life - birds, dogs, cats, flowers, butterflies, even twigs and stones 🥺

Ever since this brand started I only work on this (includes packing orders) during L’s only nap, and after putting her to sleep at night, because I’m not willing to sacrifice precious times to be present with her in the day.

So thankful that fellow mamas have been so understanding when they enquire or need some help with the webstore (omg did I mention I’m such a tech noob), and I can only get back to them at night. 💗
