Today, as I celebrate another year of life, I give thanks for His grace, strength, and creativity that continue to shape my journey.
This birthday is more than a personal milestone—it’s a moment to reflect on the path I’ve walked in transforming the Krio print into a modern expression of identity, elegance, and cultural pride. What began as a moment has grown into a movement, breathing new life into our heritage and placing the Krio story on new stages.
I am humbled that through this work, other designers have found inspiration to explore, reinterpret, and elevate our cultural textiles and patterns in their own unique ways. Seeing the ripple effect of creativity, from one idea to many, reminds me that heritage is strongest when shared, celebrated, and carried forward together.
To everyone who has supported, believed, and journeyed with me—thank you. As I step into this new chapter, I look forward to even greater opportunities to inspire, uplift, and continue shaping a legacy rooted in culture and innovation.

JF Eritej is proud to be part of the Fashion, Design & Textiles Association (FDTA)
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Fashion, Design & Textiles Symposium 2025. Your presence and participation made a real impact.

Spot our founder, Mrs Frederica Williams, doing what she loves as President of FDTA – an association built to coordinate and grow the fashion and textile industry in Sierra Leone.
The journey started back in 2020 through an initiative led by Madam Naasu Fofanah to bring women in business together. With support from Invest Salone, the idea took shape. We’ve come a long way, and today, we celebrate the work and resilience of everyone involved.
FDTA’s focus:
• Organize the industry better
• Shift public perception of fashion in Sierra Leone
• Build skills to meet global standards
• Revive and modernize our cultural wear
• Push for better policies on trade and tax
• Promote designers through fairs and exhibitions
We are committed to working together to raise the standard and visibility of Sierra Leonean fashion.
