WATCH: Thiik Community Offers Traditional Sacrifice for Peace in Tonj East

The Thiik community of Tonj East County today gathered at the family residence of Makom Majok, where five bulls were offered and slaughtered at the graveyards of the late Makom Majok and Majok Makom.

The spiritual leaders of the Paker Clan, from the lineage of Angong Marial, led the traditional rites, calling for peace, unity, and divine protection over the land and its people. Prayers were offered seeking blessings and guidance from the ancestral spirits of Angong Marial.

The solemn ceremony was witnessed by Tonj East County local authorities, including Paramount Chief Madut Aguer Adel, Ajuong Mading Ruop, Kur Akol Deng Bap, and other respected chiefs of the Luacjang community.

The event reflects the community’s continued commitment to cultural traditions, reconciliation, and the preservation of unity.
