🐾 FLINT HOARD DOG UPDATE! 🐾
Today, some of our Motley’s Crew rescues from the Flint hoard had a special family reunion! Seeing these dogs thriving and living the lives they deserve is incredibly rewarding.
Roxy, Prince, Cobain, and Jovi were reunited today, and they were so excited to see one another again!
Even more wonderful news:
❤️ Prince and Cobain are now fully vetted and officially being adopted by their foster families.
❤️ Jovi is scheduled for her spay next week and will also be adopted by her foster family.
And then there’s Roxy, who surprised us all! She was already on the surgery table and prepped for her spay when shaving her belly revealed a spay tattoo. We also discovered a second microchip, which led us down quite the rabbit hole.
Because of that microchip, we learned that Roxy’s birthday is April 22, 2021, she is 5 years old! The microchip company apologized for not having more information, but no apology was needed. This is more information than we’ve had on any of the dogs from this hoard. Roxy will also will be adopted by her foster.
Since intake, our mission has been to give these dogs back their identities. Between DNA testing and discoveries like this, every answer we uncover is a huge victory.
Today was a great day at Reborn Rescue. ❤️🐾

🚨🐾 THE RESULTS ARE IN!!!
Meet Sabbath’s Supermutt Puppies! 🐾🚨
When Sabbath was rescued as part of the large-scale rescue of more than 64 dogs from Genesee County Animal Care, no one knew exactly what breeds made up any of the dogs. Thanks to DNA testing, we now have a glimpse into the incredible mix that makes these pups so special!
✨ Their Supermutt DNA includes:
Redbone Coonhound, Bulldog, Australian Shepherd, Chow Chow
Along with traces of Labrador Retriever, Beagle, Border Collie, Australian Cattle Dog, German Shepherd, Dachshund, and American Pit Bull Terrier. Making these pups ONE-OF-A-KIND!
✨What does that mean for their personalities?
🐕 Loyal & Devoted – The Chow Chow, Bulldog, and German Shepherd influence often creates strong bonds with their families.
🧠 Smart & Eager to Learn – Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, and Cattle Dogs are known for their intelligence, which may explain why many of these pups are already learning basic commands so quickly.
❤️ Affectionate Companions – Labradors, Beagles, and Bulldogs are famous for their loving, people-oriented nature.

Meet Prince 👑
When Prince first came into foster, he couldn’t be touched for weeks. He is from the Flint hoard of 64. His intake photo? Not even him just a picture of a bed, because he was hiding under it like a tiny, haunted mattress goblin.
Fast forward to today, and while he’s made some progress, he still has the survival instincts of a wet paper towel.
Prince uses the doggy door by sprinting at full sp*ed and launching himself through it like he’s entering a portal to another dimension. He makes a noise that can only be described as Dory speaking whale from Finding Nemo when he’s overstimulated or playing. It’s… haunting.
He has a very diverse palate:
• drinks his own p*e
• eats drywall recreationally
• and has eaten:• 7 shoes• 6 hair clips• his own foot (for a solid 5 minutes)• 1 hairbrush• 1 pair of scissors• a waterbed• 3 mattress toppers• a bag of dirt• an extension cord• a bag of pencil erasers• the bottom of a dog crate• human poop• crayons• super glue• Legos• rhinestones• glitter• toxic mushrooms• a pair of glasses• and, for reasons unknown, a bag of Quikrete
He will not eat a pup cup… but WILL eat the cup it came in.
He has jumped through a screen door, that has the screen on top (twice) to get to me.
He has occasional feral episodes where he flails, barks at nothing, and questions reality itself. He must be touching me at all times in bed. He bows every single time I put a leash on him (never taught him that..he just came like that??).
The positives (yes, there are some):
• LOVES puppies
• loves cats
• extremely food motivated
• Olympic-level flight risk for anyone except (maybe) me
• separation anxiety… but like, the worst way possible
At this point, I’m convinced the only reason he’s still alive is because the devil won’t take him back.
I have not known peace since he walked into my life.
✨ And unfortunately for literally everyone else… Prince is not available for adoption. Not because he’s perfect but because I’m pretty sure releasing him into the general public would be considered a public safety risk. ✨

It's that time of year again when flea, tick, and parasite season is in full swing, and our rescue dogs need your help more than ever.

Many of the dogs that come into Reborn Rescue arrive with much more than just emotional scars. Unfortunately, it's common for us to intake puppies and dogs that are suffering from fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, and other parasites. Not only are these conditions uncomfortable and unhealthy for the dogs, but they can quickly spread to other animals in our care if not treated immediately.
