Oh hai 👋🏽 It’s Faerie Festival Weekend!! 🧚🥳

If you’re on my email list, you’ve seen the update, but now I’ve finally had a moment to sit down and do a feed post! 😆

I’ve made 74 new makes in time for the festival!
(Do not ask me how I did that, without my wrist falling off. I do not know 😅)

Myself, the other pixie partners, and the show runners, will all have booths/tents up by the stage. We’ll be close to the food, the activities, the performances and the bathrooms! There are over 50 vendors and artists who will have booths/tents set up, so be prepared to walk around for a while and explore everything that’s happening. There are SOOOO many things!!

It will be cooler this weekend, so some booths may put up tent walls to help insulate both themselves and their product, but don’t worry, there will be space for everyone!

I’ve made all sorts of things, big and small, and I’ll be bringing other inventory as well, so if you’d like to shop outside of the fairy theme, you’ll be able to too.

If you’d do come through, say hi to too - as she’ll be my assistant this weekend! And remember to tag me, if you take any photos! I know some of you are planning to come through on Sunday, and that will be just as magical, but please note that Sunday’s festivities end at 4pm. Whereas, Saturday’s end at 7pm. Just don’t want you to miss anything!

I’ll be in costume tomorrow and am happy to take photos with whoever, just ask!

I thought it would be to reintroduce myself, so here’s my . It’s been over a year since I did my last one 😆.

I’m a full time caregiver and crochet artist, right now, but I’ve lived several artistic lives. I’ve been a writer, an editor, a social media manager for other people, a web designer, a graphic designer, a photographer & retoucher, and a singer. And throughout that, also a student. I have a double degree, a minor, and a certificate, and I don’t do anything related to at least 3 of those things currently 💀.

I’ve always gravitated towards anything artsy though, it’s where I feel the freest, and of course, have the most fun with my work!

A couple extra fun facts that didn’t make the list:
🎶 I have gotten to sing in Vienna, Austria, in Canada, at Lincoln Center & Carnegie Hall with choirs!

🏫 I’ve been to two boarding schools - one for middle school & one for high school.

📸 My career as a photographer was probably the most fun & have given me the most stories.

💃🏽 I used to Irish Dance, after I discovered I wasn’t a huge fan of practicing ballet, and went to competitions a couple of times for Irish Dance. Kinda wild 😆.

🎾 I don’t play sports now, but I used to be ridiculously good at softball (as pitcher) and I liked tennis. But everything else was noooot it for me 😂. Now, you couldn’t pay me to run 💀

📚 I have a library in my home.

I have a lot of hobbies and have monetized 3. The others won’t be. This year, I would really love to learn how to play the saxophone 🎷. I think that would be a fun side quest.

Market season is almost upon us - and I’ve confirmed for 4 big shows as a vendor - and one as a guest. I may add a couple popups if they fit, otherwise I’ll be working on building out my web presence and website to make everything more sustainable for me 🌱. All of the show announcements are listed in my byeeeoh! I hope to see you there 👋🏽!

Here is the Ikran Dragon in picture form! 📸 For reference, I am small, so this dragon being damn near the size of me, is actually hilarious 🤣. But it’s perfect for snuggling. So. lol.

It is also cold as heck and there’s been 17 inches of snow on the ground for weeks. So I braved the cold just to get these photos 😆. It’s my first big make of the year that isn’t a wearable!

I do want to try a different yarn to see how much smaller it might come out as 🤭. Definitely one of my favorite fun projects so far!

A reminder that crochet, while some artists are fast, is still a slow process. It took 16 hours to make the body parts and sew them together; 8 hours of needle felting along the head and body to get those great designs in; and 2 additional hours of surface crochet to get the wing designs done.

The 2nd big make of the year is finished! 🥳🥳🥳

I started this project after watching KPop, so well before Christmas (😅), and it’s taken until yesterday to finish it! (Though, I did take a break to make Xmas gifts for my niece and nephews, and a big dragon, lol).

I plan on bringing it to when I vend with them again! It’s very warm, and cozy, which is good for these mountain winters.

Gave my website a big update!

Commission order slots are open until Feb! Then I’ll start really focusing on market prepping. So if you’ve been eyeing something customizable, now is your chance!

In this update:

💜 There is a new MTO storefront, where you can submit all your made to order/customization requests! This is separate from the main store, as several people remarked having them together was too confusing. Fixed that. It also has its own FAQ section right on the page to answer any questions about MTO options.

💚 Updated inventory/ready to ship items in the main storefront! These are makes on hand, that are ready to be adopted. They’ll ship out this week if you get something! ☺️

🧚🏽 About section was updated with “in the wild“ photos, that includes some event photos, the 2nd anniversary of me being in business, & more!

📸 The “portfolio“ section was updated w/photos from ‘25, that some of you haven’t seen. This gallery does not mean that those items are still in stock, rather they are a record of what I’ve made, & a space to see what I can do. Specifically, the snuggler album was added, the collectibles album was updated, as were the keychains & the “other plushie friends” albums.

There are 17 option options for MTO commissions at this time. If you don’t see a make that you’d like customized, please let me know! I might be able to fit something in.

But plz also be aware that some things I’ve made in the past were a “once and done” type of thing. I enjoyed making it at the time, but I have no plans on making it again – most likely due to the time it took 🙃.

Just a lil note: I will not be doing markets until May/June of this year. I have catch-up work to do, market prep to do, & the launching of my 3rd small biz. It’s also migraine season, which means I’ll definitely be missing otherwise productive days, at times. The extra prep time gives me some extra days before the busy season begins!
