It’s official. How ready is your application?

06/09/2026

A lot of Pre-PT students assume they’re either accepted or rejected.

But actually many applicants fall somewhere in the middle.

Programs often take a closer look at borderline applicants and evaluate other factors such as GRE scores, recommendation letters, and overall readiness for the program. Strong relationships with professors and physical therapists can make a bigger difference than many students realize.

Being borderline doesn’t mean you’re out. It means every part of your application matters.

PTCAS opens in 1 week.

Most students think they need to start writing their essay right away. Then they open a blank Google Doc, stare at the screen, and get stuck.

Good luck with that. 😒

Instead, here’s what I’d do this week:

✅ Gather all of your experiences into one document
✅ Observation hours
✅ Volunteer work
✅ Leadership positions
✅ Community service
✅ Research
✅ Awards & scholarships
✅ Work experience

Then before you write a single paragraph of your essay, answer these 3 questions:

1. Who do I want to help?
2. How do I want to help them?
3. Why does this matter to me?

The new personal statement isn’t asking why you want to become a PT.

It’s asking how you plan to impact the profession.

That’s a very different question.

The students who start thinking about this now are going to be much less stressed a month from now.

If you want step-by-step help with your essay, application, school list, and interviews.. July Cohort Bootcamp is where it’s at.

PTCAS opens in less than 2 weeks.

And if you’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start… we got you.

I’m excited to introduce two new members of our PT Admissions Coaching Team: Keanne Alamo and Chris Hinkley!

Both earned multiple PT school acceptances this past cycle and are passionate about helping future PTs stand out.

With our June 2026 PT Application Bootcamp officially sold out at 50 students, I knew it was time to expand our team so we can help even more students this cycle.

If you’re applying this year and want guidance on your essays, school list, application strategy, or interviews, send me a DM with:

“PT COACH”

And let’s see how my team and I can help you earn that acceptance letter.

PTCAS opens in just 15 days.

If you’re applying to PT school this cycle, here are the 3 things I would do RIGHT NOW:

1️⃣Gather all of your experiences
• Observation hours
• Volunteer work
• Leadership positions
• Community service
• Research
• Awards and scholarships
• Work experience

2️⃣Follow up with your letters of recommendation
• Reach out to your PTs, professors, and supervisors
• Let them know applications open this month
• Give them a heads up that they’ll receive a request from PTCAS soon

3️⃣Start brainstorming your personal statement
Ask yourself:

1. Who do I want to help?
2. How do I want to help them?
3. Why does that matter to me?

Most applicants wait until applications open before they start preparing.

The strongest applicants are using these next 15 days to get organized so they can submit earlier, stress less, and put together a stronger application.

If you’re applying this cycle, comment “2026” so I know who to support this cycle!

I’m honestly blown away.

A few months ago, I was so discouraged to only have 1 student enroll from my waitlist.. Today, we have 50 students enrolled and our largest cohort ever.

My team and I do not take that responsibility lightly. We know every application represents a dream, years of hard work, and a future physical therapist who wants to make an impact on others.

Over the next few months, we’ll be working hard behind the scenes to help these students build stronger applications, write standout essays, prepare for interviews, and give themselves the best chance possible to earn that acceptance letter.

To every student who trusted us with your PT school journey, thank you. We are grateful, humbled, and excited to be a small part of your story.

Cheers to the next 50 future Doctors of Physical Therapy. Let’s get to work.

Let’s. Go.
