✨The Futility of Deception: Lying to GOD. ✨

🗝Text: Hebrews 4:13, Psalm 139:1-4, Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:9

👫Brothers and sisters, have you ever tried to hide something from God? Maybe you thought you could conceal a secret sin or rationalize a questionable decision. But today, we're reminded that lying to God is not only impossible but also self-destructive.

📖Hebrews 4:13 - "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account."

📖Psalm 139:1-4 - "You have searched me, Lord, and you know me... You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar."

👀God sees everything, knows everything, and understands our every thought. We can't hide from Him.

📖Proverbs 28:13 - "Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy."

🐍Trying to deceive God only leads to self-deception and harm. When we lie to ourselves about our actions.

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️Confession and Repentance:

1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

✝️True freedom comes from acknowledging our sins and turning away from them. We must practice confession and repentance.

👄Lying to God is not possible, but it's a destructive attempt to deceive ourselves. Let's surrender to His omniscience and lovingkindness. Let's confess our sins, repent, and walk in the light of His truth.

🙏Closing Prayer:

🎚Dear Heavenly Father, we acknowledge your all-knowing presence. Forgive us for our attempts to deceive ourselves and others. Help us walk in honesty and transparency, confessing our sins and trusting in your mercy. Amen.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is a mental disorder characterized by:

1. Grandiosity: Exaggerated sense of self-importance and superiority.
2. Fixation with fantasies of success, power, and brilliance.
3. Belief they are special and unique.
4. Constant need for admiration and attention.
5. Sense of entitlement and expectation of special treatment.
6. Interpersonally exploitative, taking advantage of others.
7. Envy or resentment towards others who they perceive as having more power or status.
8. Arrogant and haughty behavior or attitude.

People with NPD may:

1. Dominate conversations and manipulate others.
2. Lack of empathy and understanding of others' feelings.
3. React with anger or humiliation when criticized.
4. Have a tendency to belittle or demean others.
5. Have a sense of entitlement to special treatment.
6. Take advantage of others to achieve their own ends.
7. Have a tendency to be envious or resentful of others' success.
8. Have a tendency to be arrogant or haughty.

NPD can be challenging to treat, but therapy options like psychoanalytic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family therapy can help individuals manage symptoms and improve relationships.
