🏐 Big Games, Bigger Magic Coming to Anaheim! 🎉

Heads up, Disney friends — Anaheim is going for gold this July 15 – 30, 2028! The Honda Center will host indoor volleyball for the LA28 Olympic Games, just a few miles from Disneyland Resort. 🏅

That means even more excitement (and yes, a few more people 😉) filling our local hotels, restaurants, and shuttles.
✨ If you’re planning a Disneyland trip during those dates, here are a few tips:

✅ Book early – hotels near the Resort and Honda Center will sell out fast.
🚗 Plan for traffic – expect delays around Katella Ave and Harbor Blvd.
🍴 Reserve dining ahead of time – both Downtown Disney and nearby favorites will be busy with athletes and fans.
🍼 Families renting strollers or gear: Reserve early! Delivery windows will book up quickly during Olympic events.

Hollywood Park Studios Announced as 2028 Olympics Broadcast Hub, Anchoring Inglewood’s Growing Media District

Inglewood, CA — A major step forward for Southern California’s entertainment and media industries was announced today with the launch of Hollywood Park Studios (HPS), a state-of-the-art production and broadcast facility spearheaded by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke.

Located within the expansive 300-acre Hollywood Park development, HPS will initially serve as the International Broadcast Center (IBC) for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The center will accommodate hundreds of media rights holders from across the globe, providing advanced infrastructure for live studio operations, control rooms, and production offices during one of the world’s largest sporting events.

Following the Games, Hollywood Park Studios will become a permanent production facility, supporting the region’s growing demand for film, TV, and digital content creation. HPS joins a robust campus that includes SoFi Stadium, YouTube Theater, the NFL Media headquarters, retail destinations, restaurants, and a luxury hotel — creating a unique ecosystem for the Media, Entertainment, and Technology (MET) sectors.

“Hollywood Park Studios reinforces our commitment to making Inglewood a global destination for sports and entertainment,” said a spokesperson for the development. “It will play a vital role during LA28 and remain a dynamic asset for years to come.”

Anaheim is serving up greatness as Honda Center will be official host court for indoor volleyball at the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Get ready for world-class spikes, blocks and assists right here in Anaheim!

Twelve qualifying men’s and women’s teams, including USA Volleyball, are expected to face off in preliminary, quarterfinal, finals and medals rounds over two weeks in Anaheim in July 2028.

We are proud to host Olympic athletes and visitors.

As a visitor city, we expect to see economic benefits from the games as people stay in hotels, visit theme parks and dine and shop.

Since 2006, Anaheim has served as a training site for the U.S. Men’s National Volleyball Team, with athletes going on to medal in the 2008, 2016 and 2024 games.
