Hello Ladies!

I wanted to give you a little update on some suggested dates and locations for our 2027 retreats!

As much as we would love to head to Nashville, the prices are unfortunately completely out of our budget right now. So, for 2027, we’re going to focus on some wonderful retreat options right here in Alabama!

We’re still in the early stages of planning and will be confirming the dates and details with the hotels and RV park. Here are the dates and locations we’re currently looking at:

March 11–15: Hampton Inn & Suites — Attalla, AL
May 13–17: Hilton Garden Inn — Daphne, AL
October 13–17: River Rocks Landing — Gadsden, AL
We should have everything confirmed by next week, so get ready to mark those calendars!

Hello, Quilting Friends!

We’re starting to work on our 2027 retreats and would love your input as we start planning! We’ll be putting together a poll to find out which months' work best for everyone, so please take a moment to share your preferred times of year.

We’re planning three retreats in 2027, and we’re thinking about spicing things up a bit with two hotel-style retreats!

We’re considering locations such as:
o Nashville, TN
o Attalla, AL - Gadsden area
o Daphne/Fairhope, AL, putting us close to the beautiful Gulf Shores area

Our hotel-style retreats will include 5 meals — 3 lunches and 2 dinners for $295 per person.
Lodging is not included in the retreat price. However, the hotel will offer our group a discounted rate, and sharing a room with a friend is a great way to help keep lodging costs down.

We’ll also return to River Rocks Landing in Gadsden, AL for our traditional end-of-the-year retreat. 5 meals will also be included - 2 lunches, 2 dinners & brunch the last morning for $295 per person. Lodging is not included in the retreat price. However, the park is offering our group a discount on RV Sites. Also, the Hampton Inn & Suites right outside the park entrance is offering our group a discount. Share a room to keep lodging costs down.

We’ve also had requests for more instructor-led classes, and we’d love to know if that’s something you’d enjoy! If there’s something new you’d like to learn, let us know. We’ll be happy to have one of our fun instructors lead the way and help us learn something new.

We had an incredible retreat at River Rocks Landing in Gadsden, Alabama, with this talented group of quilters! Together, we created beautiful quilt tops, wall hangings, bags and shared laughter and stories, and formed friendships that will be treasured for years to come.

A heartfelt thank-you to our retreat committee for their hard work and dedication in making this event such a wonderful success. We also extend our sincere appreciation to The Sewing Machine Mart, Ashville House Quilt Shop, 31:13 Quilting and Embroidery & Creative Fabric for their generous fabric discounts, which made the experience even more special.

Congratulations to our door prize winners! Pam Dean won the Churn Dash Blocks, and we can't wait to see the beautiful friendship quilt they become. Congratulations as well to Lee Anne Thompson for winning our Left Right Center game and generously sharing the beautiful fat quarters with the group.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this retreat so memorable. We already look forward to quilting together again soon!

What a wonderful week we had at River Rocks Landing in Gadsden, AL with this talented group of ladies! It was so special reconnecting with old friends and welcoming new faces into our quilting family.

Throughout the week, we enjoyed fellowship, quilting, laughter, shopping, and some delicious food. So many beautiful quilt tops came together, and the Show & Tell was absolutely amazing — you ladies did a fabulous job showcasing your stunning quilts, bags, and wall hangings.

A special thank you to Sewing Machine Mart, 31:13 Quilting & Embroidery, Ashville House Quilt Shop, and Creative Fabric & Design for your generous discounts and wonderful door prizes. We look forward to seeing you all again in July!

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our committee for all your hard work and help throughout the week — we truly couldn’t have done it without you.
