It was a bittersweet day today as we completed the move and closing of our brick and mortor store in Archdale. I have enjoyed this chapter of my life, but I look forward to shifting my focus, having more time for my family, and connecting with people through new online teaching opportunities as well as in-person classes, that for the time being, will be limited to past students, friends, and family. I appreciate all your love and support, and hope to see you all soon.

We had such a fun week with these three girls at Abilene's Field. They were so good to follow my instructions, and they were all very quick learners. This year I had a theme: "Fun and Games!" We made a cloth checkers game and matching drawstring pouch to hold the checkers, a tic, tac, toe game (complete with a zippered pocket on the back to hold the game pieces), a marble maze game, a stuffed animal, a wallet/cellphone holder, and a tote bag to hold it all. They sewed all of that in only 16 hours! Not too shabby for beginners. I have said it before and will say it again- "Kid's Summer Sewing Sessions are the best way to teach your kids to sew!"
