Ten years ago, this was just a dream.
Then somehow, it became a store. A community. A second home. A place where I grew up right alongside my business.
And now, it’s an empty room again.
Watching our sign come down hit me harder than I expected. Because for so long, Southern Local was such a huge part of who I was. I poured so much of myself into these walls- the good, the hard, the exciting, the exhausting and everything in between.
I don’t know if you ever really feel “ready” to close a chapter that changed your entire life.
But I do know I’m incredibly proud of what we made here. And even more grateful for every single person who was a part of it.
The sign may be down, but damn…what a beautiful thing we built. 🥹🩷
Here’s to finding out what I’m made for next. 🦋
