Usually, wall mounted swing gates can only open 90 degrees, which means when open they can sometimes be in the way. Where possible, mounting the hinge on the end of the wall allows the gate to swing open a full 180 degrees. It’s still best to get in the habit of keeping gates closed and locked at all times!
