A few of days ago my little bro & I were otw home late at night (around 11pm) we saw two police cars coming behind us... (thank God they weren’t coming for me) but once we saw they pulled a Black woman over my little brother asked “should we pull over to make sure she’s okay?”
I contemplated because I didn’t want to escalate the situation and didn’t know what would happen if we didn’t ... so for that exact reason I turned around to go make sure she got out that situation alive.... 🙏🏽
We asked her if she was good & if she wanted us to stay with her & I could instantly tell she was happy we stopped...
low and behold the officer tried any and every sorry excuse to get us to leave.... WE DID NOT LEAVE 🤣🚫.
BLACK PEOPLE, BE OUR OWN BACK UP (and even white, asian, latinx) people we’ve seen FAR TOO MANY TIMES Black men and women get pulled over and end up dead. We need to make it a thing when we get pulled over we STOP. Yes it does take courage, I was so scared to stop. But also don’t stop to escalate the situation... be peaceful so it does not escalate. I’m so glad we stopped. I was scared out of my mind, but I think we could minimize the amount of murders we see daily on IG (which we shouldn’t have to see at all)... ✊🏽❤️🖤💛💚 thank you for asking me to pull over. A moment I’ll never forget.
