17 Days of Gratitude | Day 10 ❤️
Grateful for Family
As I count down to my 57th birthday on August 17, today I give thanks for life’s greatest blessings—my family.
Family is where love begins, where faith is nurtured, and where many of life’s greatest lessons are learned.
Through every celebration, challenge, triumph, and heartbreak, my family has helped shape the woman I am today.
I am especially grateful for the gift of my son, Robert. His journey forever changed my life and became the inspiration behind the Robert A. Pritchard Stroke & Health Initiative. What began as my family’s battle has grown into a mission to bring hope, education, support, and healing to countless others.
His life continues to remind me that even our greatest trials can become the foundation for our greatest purpose. ❤️
I am also deeply grateful for my mother, whose love, strength, wisdom, and prayers have been a foundation in my life. Her influence continues to remind me of the power of a mother’s love and the importance of leaving a legacy rooted in faith and love.
I thank God for every family member who has stood beside me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and surrounded me with a love that has carried me through every season.
And I also cherish the family I have chosen along the way—the beautiful souls who may not share my blood but have become my sisters and brothers through love, friendship, faith, and purpose. Family is not always defined by blood; sometimes, God places people in our lives who become family through the love they freely give.
As I celebrate another year of life, my prayer is that our families continue to grow in love, grace, forgiveness, faith, and unity. May we cherish one another while we have the opportunity, create memories that outlive us, and build legacies of love for the generations that follow.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15
Thank You, Lord, for the blessing of family and for the legacy of love that continues to shape my life. 🙏🏾❤️
