Is Sturgis dying? I keep hearing it. So here's my honest take. 🏍️

Yeah, it's not what it used to be. But what is? Everything changes. Is it expensive? Sure — but so is an NFL game, a big concert, a theme park. That's just how big events work now.

Does that mean you can't have a great time without blowing your budget? Not even close.

I stayed at HTR Black Hills Resort — reasonably priced, food trucks, live music on weekends, genuinely great stay. Rode Needles Highway, saw the Badlands, spent time in Deadwood, Spearfish, Hill City. Had one of the best trips of my life and didn't break the bank doing it.

Sturgis isn't dying. Not every year breaks records. Go make of it what you can.

I made this one a little over a year ago — years of riding footage and scenery, paired with words that have stuck with me for a long time. It’s called “The Life That Many Will Not Understand.”

Never tracked down who wrote it originally, but if you ride, I think you’ll feel it.

Sharing it again for those of you who are new here and haven’t seen it yet.

If you've been enjoying the ride here on Facebook, there's more waiting for you. 🏍️

Filmed this one near Chinook Pass — absolutely gorgeous up here. Quick ask: if you want more from The Buddha Biker, head over to YouTube and hit subscribe. Longer videos, more of the trip, more of this whole thing we've got going.

Link's below and in the comments.

Thank you for every share, comment, and follow along the way. It's meant more than you know.

Sometimes it's not about the big trip. 🏍️

Highway 509, Marine View Drive, right along Puget Sound — short stretch, but twisty and tree-lined with the water right there. This is the kind of ride that reminds you why you started riding in the first place.

What's your favorite stretch of road near home? Tell me about it below — I want to hear where you go when you just need a good ride.

Home. 🏍️

Made it back to Washington State after two of the best weeks I've had in a long time. Stick around to the end of this one — put together a quick montage of some trip highlights: the Badlands, Needles Highway, Mount Rushmore.

Thank you all for following along, for the comments, the well wishes, and the support. It genuinely means a lot.

More videos still coming as I finish editing everything. This isn't the last of this trip.

Playing around with Adobe Firefly… I created my Buddha Biker logo 4 or 5 years ago but haven’t done any real modifications to it… playing around this weekend with the AI editors, it’s amazing what they can do.

Lochsa River — Peaceful, Beautiful, Worth the Stop 🏍️

The Lochsa River — peaceful, beautiful, exactly the kind of moment that makes two weeks on the road worth it. Hope the scenery comes through for you the way it did for me standing right here.

Just left the Jack Saloon — built by lumberjacks, for lumberjacks, and still standing as one of the coolest stops on this whole trip. 🪵🍺

From there, 99 miles of twisty road along the Lochsa River. This is the kind of riding you plan a whole trip around.
