Sometimes the best therapy is a campsite with no cell service. Soda Springs campground on the Bumping River in Washington State — natural springs bubbling right at your feet, old growth forest, a good friend and a campfire. The Time Out Deluxe was home base for the weekend and she never disappoints.

Ever camped next to a working airstrip? Ranger Creek State Airport near Mount Rainier is one of the most unique camping destinations in the Pacific Northwest — and it comes with some pretty unexpected visitors! 🚁✈️
Built in the early 1940s as an emergency airstrip for civilian and military aircraft in the Cascades, Ranger Creek has been in continuous use ever since. During our stay we watched Army National Guard Black Hawks, a Cessna, and a Maule taildragger all share this remote backcountry runway — while we were camped right next to it!
We also explored the mysterious concrete foundations of buildings long gone, checked out the Buck Creek Recreation Area, and wound down with a cold one at the Naches Tavern in Greenwater. 🍺

Sometimes the best rides are the ones you don't plan. ☀️

Took the Road Glide out on this gorgeous sunny day
and ended up at Rock the Dock Tavern in Tacoma —
waterfront views, Mount Rainier visible in the
distance, motorcycle only parking right at the
front door and fish and chips that absolutely hit
the spot.

Oh, and a Bloody Mary that was dangerously good. 🍺
