Perfect way to spend the evening? I took to the creek with my fly rod and pup. Ended up catching my first trout in the fly! Even a little guy was rewarding when you’re workin for it. 🎣 Lola was wading right by my side the whole time.

Preparing for a trip to the Driftless this weekend & trying to figure this thing out! Spend the evening at the creek and I caught one baby steelhead and a lot of tree branches 😂 I will say this is really growing on me. I feel really locked in and fully engaged while casting this thing. I’ve always been intimidated by fly fishing but it’s not that hard to get going and it’s lots of fun!

Something special is coming...

As we get closer to the Fourth of July, I've found myself thinking a lot about what freedom actually means.

It's launching a boat before sunrise and watching the fog lift off the river. It's spending a weekend on a sandbar with friends.

It's taking the long way home through the backroads. It's a campfire after a long day outdoors.

It's having the opportunity to build something of your own and chase a dream, even when nobody else sees the vision.

This year marks 250 years since the founding of the United States.

Think about that for a second.

Two hundred and fifty years. Generation after generation of Americans built the roads we drive on, protected the freedoms we enjoy, and created the opportunities that allow us to live the lives we do today.

As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors here in Wisconsin, that milestone felt too important to ignore.

So I've been working on something special.

Something inspired by Wisconsin.

Something inspired by freedom.Something inspired by the places, traditions, and experiences that make this state feel like home.

It's a limited edition release.

Designed in Wisconsin.

Printed in Wisconsin.

Spent Memorial Day weekend doing what I love most.

Loaded up the Scanoe, brought Lola along, and hit the Wisconsin River with 3 friends. We launched in Lone Rock and floated all the way down to Boscobel, covering roughly 30 miles over the weekend.

Caught a pile of smallmouth, a few walleye, cooked good food, sat around the fire, and made some memories. Not everything went according to plan, but honestly those usually end up being the stories you remember most.

Trips like this remind me how much beauty we have right here in Wisconsin and how easy it is to overlook it when life gets busy.

Did any of you get out fishing, camping, or on the water over Memorial Day weekend? What's your favorite stretch of the Wisconsin River?

Hope everyone had a great weekend and got the chance to spend some time outdoors.
