In a survey some time ago to determine where we go next on our annual group trips, quite a few members of our global community listed Ghana as one of the countries on their wish list. Personally, it has always been one of mine as well. Here's why. Given the increasing national divide in the past few years, exacerbated by George Floyd's murder in May of 2020 and overt racism that continues to rear its ugly head regularly & publicly, I figured I would actually take the advice of those who still live with that archaic superiority & ownership mindset to "go back to where I came from" - and in so doing experience first hand the homeland of so many of our forcibly displaced ancestors. Yup, we're going back to "the motherland."
