Calumet Trade Goods

Calumet Trade Goods Calumet Trade Goods is owned by artisan Ken D. Bueche maker of museum quality historic and contemporary reproductions In the spring of 2010.

Calumet Trade Goods was an idea that began in Ken Bueche's head long ago. I began doing living history in 1986 and like many others began in Civil War. I started into the 1700 time period in 1995 and it rapidly became my passion. I had always enjoyed sewing and making things so, it was natural to me to begin making items for myself then for my friends and by word of mouth. Occasionally, I woulkd m

ake something to sell. I have always had a passion for history and have been a high school history teacher since 1992. During this time I have given thousands of school talks and demonstrations to stundents and public at various historic sites around the country. I made the jump to begin Calumet Trade Goods and "retire" from teaching, giving me my full time to devote to creating historical reproduction goods. I travel to many events north and south to set up and sell my goods and take part in the living history events I attend...

History is my passion and being able to creating a piece that represents that history is truly a gift I love to share.

UPDATE
just to let everyone know that didn't see my post on my Ken D BUECHE page,,,,

I lost my house and studio/shop, pretty much everything in the flood.
Did manage to save my truck and most my tools. At this time I don't think I lost anyone's order I was working on.
Not sure what will happen from here just living minute by minute.

MAIN THING IS: roughly 150,000 peoples homes were damaged or destroyed to be unlivable.

Just doing best I can right now to get work done and rebuild everything.
Thanks
Ken
