Happy Father’s Day to my favorite dads- 1st pic my dad, Grant. He suffered in life but was the most gentle soul is resting in peace.
Second pic my grandfather, Rhodes, who was a total badass. He became the factory floor manager of Ford motor company in its heyday and was also a parts engineer for Ford motor company. He left a giant legacy of resources and had 32 grandchildren!
And my hubby Suman who’s the most intense hands on father- he never stops thinking about our sons and goes above and beyond for their needs and growth.

I’m working on a lot of top secret bridal gowns and mother of the bride/groom that I’m not allowed to share yet. So here’s a throwback to my most intense project of 2020- just one year after I launched this brand. I had just bought a grommet press, just moved to Tucson AZ, and wanted to while away the long pandemic hours with a really challenging project. I think this one showcases my engineering skills and pattern drafting skills. I also hand bleached the denim. I only ever made one of these jackets! All that work for only one customer is certifiable. 😅

My pretty little shop at night! 🌙
The other day another local shopkeeper who runs a hair salon nearby stopped by to tell me how pretty my daisies are, how much she loves the strapless dress in the window, and that people around town are saying “you’re a designer with the talent of a NYC/Paris designer, but with a very down to earth personality.” I think that may be the best compliment of my life so far.
After building all this for seven years, I recently felt like I turned a corner. Big, hard projects are feeling easy. Whimsically cray cray projects I deem unsellable, but want to make anyway, are getting adopted at lightning speed by eager collectors. I just can’t believe it’s getting “easy” after so much struggle. Do I even know what “easy” means anymore after fighting the entrepreneurship battle for seven years?!
They say you know what to do next by what you get jealous of. The only thing I’m jealous of these days is seeing babes on a beach. I guess my next great achievement will look more like beach time?! 👙🏖️☀️
