I have spent the last few weeks deep in the planning stages for my upcoming physical kits. It has been a long process of sourcing the right components, ordering samples, and testing everything to make sure the final making experience is spot on.

Seeing this first physical sample layout come together makes all the hard work worth it! Every single detail has been hand-selected - from the soft plush yarn cakes, to the certified safety eyes and custom pin cards.

I am still a little way off from the official launch day while the bulk wholesale stock is in transit, but I couldn't resist sharing a preview of how the packaging layout is looking on my workspace. It feels amazing to see the ideas finally turn into a real box.

Getting into the spooky spirit a little bit early this year!

I am so excited to introduce our Halloween character line-up to the Chunky Series. Whether you want to hook up a friendly green monster, a dapper little red devil, or a classic purple witch complete with her own tiny broomstick, these festive projects are such a joy to crochet.

Because every character in this collection is built using a similar structural base, all of their clothing pieces, horns, and hats are completely interchangeable. You can seamlessly swap parts between these three to design your own custom spooky mashups!

One of my favourite things about the interchangeable Chunky Series is seeing how much a character changes just by swapping out the material. Because every one of my designs is rigorously tested by hand, the stitch counts work seamlessly across any yarn you prefer to use.

As you can see with these Chunky Pirates:
- Lightweight cotton creates a smaller, detailed piece perfect for a shelf decoration.
- Standard acrylic offers a classic finish.

After 18 months away, it is time to start sharing my work here again.

Life has thrown some incredibly heavy storms our way over the last year and a half. Between managing my own diagnosis of heart failure and navigating my husband’s cancer journey, social media understandably had to take a complete backseat. Throughout these difficult months, picking up my crochet hook has been a vital mental health anchor.

Because daily life can feel chaotic, I spent my quiet moments designing patterns that are the exact opposite: calm, stress-free, and comforting.

This is the new direction of DreamWeave Creations: the interchangeable Chunky Series. Every single character in this series is built using a similar base, which means you can completely mix, match, and modify the patterns to create your own character mashups.
