I wish I had more events to share with you but I’m still recovering the business from the pandemic and weather events while getting used to motherhood.

Collingswood May Fair is coming up on Saturday. Make sure to come visit my booth on Saturday May 23rd from 10-4. You can see what lovely additions I’ve made to my collection and fill out a contest form for the gigantic koala bear.

2026 marks the 25th anniversary of my first animal design: the Koala Bear.

I’ve never been to Australia myself but my Uncle in NZ used to send koala stuffies to my Grandmom. I loved them so much. In 2001 I ended up having to take time off from school for severe endometriosis pain. Aside from school work there was nothing to do so I decided to learn a new skill: crochet. Back then there wasn’t easy access for me to find a crochet stuffed animal pattern so I decided to make my own based off what I remembered of my Grandmom’s stuffies. The first SAbyRS koala bear was born.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary I am holding a contest. I will be listing the various fairs I’m attending on social media and at my fairs. Stop in my booth to fill out a free contest form and get additional entries with each purchase. At the end of the year I will randomly draw 1 name to win this gigantic, hand crochet koala worth $200 value.

As you can see it’s already been approved by my 1 year old. 😂

The weekend has come to an end and I hope this past week was as productive for everyone as it was for me. From various sizes of snowmen and finger puppets to 3 sent in craft fair applications things were very good around here.

I am hoping to get into and see all of you this year at Collingswood May Fair (May 23rd), Collingswood 2 day crafts and fine arts festival (August 15-16) and Bordentown Cranberry Festival (October 3-4th).

Since Summer of 2024 I’ve been working on the best project of all. I’d like to welcome our latest team member and the reason I am falling a bit behind in my work. His favorite pieces are the lizard, mr. Ghostie and his 100% cotton rattle snake. He chews and I just toss it in the washer and dryer to keep it clean. Although my inventory may be limited this year I will still be applying to Collingswood May Fair, Collingswood 2-day Crafts and Fine Arts Festival, and Bordentown Cranberry Festival. Make sure to check out their event pages for more details as they become available. I am also still accepting custom orders for any of my animals, just pick which animal from my list and a color (not too specific as shades may vary). We’ll be happy to help match you up with your own favorite stuffies!!!

Come check out my booth at festival at Cooper River park. It’s happening now through 6pm.

I even have a new line of LGBTQ+ representative animals. I had a lot of fun making them too!

My Mom, the fabulous ally of two beautiful (if I do say so myself) children, is manning the booth as I stay in with my cranky, little one. I look forward to hearing all her amazing stories of people she’s met.
