A little behind-the-scenes look at what goes into getting ready for our weekly live shows… ⚡️🖤
Most mornings, I get up, start a load of business laundry, grab my coffee, and get right to work—logging inventory, taking pictures, researching and pricing, tagging clothing, and getting everything ready for the next live.
But really, the work starts long before any of that.
Every piece I bring in is sourced and hand picked. I spend so much time searching for pieces I think you’ll love, looking at brands, styles, quality, condition, colors, fabrics, and whether something feels like it belongs in our shop. I don’t just want racks full of clothes—I want pieces I’m excited to put in front of you.
Once everything arrives, the real behind-the-scenes work begins.
Packages are opened and unpacked. Or bags being brought in and unloaded. Every piece is inspected. Clothing is washed when needed, pressed, steamed, hung, photographed, priced, tagged, and organized into totes or onto racks. And of course, there are always those pieces that get one more look and end up in the “Nope, not good enough” pile. 😂
And honestly, most days end pretty much the same way they started. Laundry is going throughout the day, and I’m often finishing that last load right around bedtime… only to wake up and start the whole process again the next morning.
It can be a daunting process, and there are definitely days when I look around at the racks, totes, laundry, tags, and piles and wonder how I’m ever going to get through it all.
But the truth is, I really do love it.
I take a lot of pride in hand selecting what I bring to you, making sure each piece is ready to be shown, and putting together a live that I hope you’ll truly enjoy shopping.
Then after all those hours and days of sourcing, sorting, washing, steaming, tagging, pricing, photographing, and organizing, I finally get to sit down with all of you.
That’s the rewarding part.
I get to laugh with you, talk with you, show you pieces I’ve been excited about, and watch something I personally picked out find its way to someone who truly loves it.
You may only see the couple of hours we’re together during a live, but there is a whole lot of time, work, thought, love—and apparently laundry 😂—that goes into making those couple of hours happen.
And I wouldn’t put that much of myself into it if this little business and the people supporting it didn’t mean so much to me.
Every time you tune in, comment, share, shop, or simply spend part of your evening with me, you’re supporting something I’ve worked incredibly hard to build.
And I truly appreciate you more than you probably realize.
Thank you for continuing to show up for Line Wife c.c. and for making all those long days behind the scenes feel so worth it. ⚡️🖤
