Welcome, Aoife! // My other entry for 's Autumn/Winter 2022 collection is Aoife, a classic cabled funnel neck perfect for crisp autumn days. Featuring just the right balance of fascinating cables and soothing, straightforward stockinette and reverse stockinette, Aoife is a sweater that can go anywhere, whether that's dressed up for the office or thrown on with your favorite jeans for a walk in the woods. Aoife has set-in sleeves with tailored shoulders for a perfect fit, and is knit in pieces and seamed for an heirloom-quality sweater to wear and love forever. Hello, Fall, and Hello, Orla! // It's been a bonkers summer and first stretch of early fall, but I am SO excited to introduce the first of my two entries in our Autumn/Winter 2022 collection for : the Orla pullover! I went in a bit of a different direction with this one, swapping my favorite cables for a cable-and-lace combo for a perfect blend of texture, structure, and easy-to-wear drape. A swingy drop-shoulder silhouette allows for a ton of flexibility in sizing and styling; you'll see this sample on two gorgeous models with a 10"+ difference in bust size and totally different bodies. Like all of our patterns, Orla is up to a 64" bust measurement (again, with a lot of sizing flexibility), and is a relatively speedy knit in our delightfully balanced worsted-weight yarn, Forge. Friends, meet Flanders! My entry in our Spring 2022 collection from is this kicky cropped cardigan, made in light-but-sturdy and perfect for cooler nights as the days warm up. Stitch definition for days...
There are so many things I love about Forge, our worsted weight yarn. It's probably the thing I've knit most with for the last three years, and I never tire of its wonderful balance of blurry bloom and crisp stitch definition. Textured and cabled knits are my favorite kinds of projects, but if you're going to do all that knitting, you want to SEE it! My Ward pullover, from our forthcoming Deep Winter 2022 collection, has a mix of cables, knit-purl textures, and squishy garter stitch, and Forge lets them all shine. We shot our Deep Winter 2022 collection last week on a frigid day at Meghan's parents' beautiful farmhouse in the Hudson Valley, and I had to share this adorable snap, where our wonderful models were joined by a special four-legged friend. Meghan and I have been working from thousands of miles apart for all of ’s history, which means my phone is full of snaps of hats and sweaters, posed awkwardly in front of random mirrors, eyebrows raised in mild skepticism. This one, for H+W’s collection, is winging its way to her to be photographed, but I confess I’m pretty eager to get it back again!

Friends, meet Maya (the sweater)! Named for my very own little sprout, my contribution to ’s Spring 2021 collection is the easy-wearing cabled cardigan I’ve wanted to wrap myself up in throughout this transition season. Maya features a mix of a simple, meditative cable and a striking slipped-garter rib, with integrated garter bands and a cozy drop-shouldered silhouette. Made in our light-worsted Forge on size 8 needs, it’s a quick knit, but airy enough for three season wear. Like all H+W designs, this one is inclusively sized to fit up to a 66-68” bust.

“Shawl in progress” is somehow an even harder mood to capture than “sweater in progress,” but here we are. Bit of a random selfish knitting project for me, but I’ve had my eye on ’s for years, and I’m finally making myself one in Forge in To***co.
