I know how that feels — because I was one of them.

We did everything right. The affirmations. The gratitude checklist. The positive mindset work.

And we still felt stuck.

There is a reason for that — and it has nothing to do with how hard we tried.

It has everything to do with what chronic stress does to three specific parts of your brain.

Watch this to the end. What I share in this video changed how I practice — and it will change how you understand yourself.

📌 Save this for the woman in your life who is trying so hard and still feels like she is failing.

May gave me this.

A symphony in Charleston. A moon over a palmetto. And a friend, , who works long shifts and still made time to show up.

We stood under the southern sky — immersed in live music, in friendship, in a night that reminded us why the hours matter.

I carry a lot. So does she. So do you.

And yet — this happened. We made it happen. Because the moments don’t save themselves.

Write down what May gave you before June takes it.

I have sat with patients during the most critical moments of their lives. 💛

At the edge of life and death, you learn what actually matters.

And what I witnessed over and over — in the most honest moments — was not just physical pain.

It was the damage women had done to themselves with their own inner voice. For decades. Without anyone ever telling them to stop.

Neuroscience is clear: chronic self-criticism keeps the nervous system in a state of threat. It elevates cortisol. It suppresses immune function. It physically hurts.

The woman who never felt good enough.
The woman who apologized for existing.
The woman who was unsure if she shold or shold have not said something.
The woman who gave everything to everyone and saved nothing for herself.

I have held space for “her” more times than I can count.

You would never say to your best friend what you say to yourself at the end of a hard day.

Gratitude — real, practiced, written down — is one of the most evidence-based ways to interrupt that cycle.
Not by pretending everything is fine. By deliberately building evidence that you are also worthy of kindness. Repeat - deliberately building evidence you are worthy.

Starting with yourself. 💛

Three years ago I chose peace. 💛

Not just in a person — but in myself.

Second chances have a way of teaching you what you actually need versus what you thought you wanted.

I spent years being strong for everyone else. He was the first person who made me feel like I did not have to be. 🥰

Gratitude looks like this moment. This view. This man.
Happy Anniversary

Today we pause. 🤍

Thirty years in healthcare taught me that sacrifice looks different up close. I have held the hands of veterans. I have seen what service costs.

Gratitude is not just a practice for the good days. It is how we honor the people who made the good days possible.

To every family who gave someone they loved — thank you. We do not forget. 💛

Happy Memorial Day.

You don’t get to rewind the hard chapters. You don’t get to pause when it gets heavy. All you get is now.

I spent years moving so fast through my own life that I stopped actually living it. Gratitude journaling didn’t slow time — but it taught me how to be inside it.

That’s what LetSoul is built for. Not productivity. Presence.

Save this if you needed the reminder today. 🤍
visiting your gallery was a highlight of our day ….

It is Friday. You made it. 💛

Charleston called and I answered.

Thirty years in healthcare taught me that rest is not a reward. It is a requirement.

I used to feel guilty every time I stepped away. Now I journal about what I noticed when I finally did.

What would you do with three uninterrupted days that belonged only to you?

She keeps going. Through the exhaustion, the overwhelm, the mental load that never fully empties. She keeps going because stopping feels selfish. Because there is always someone who needs something. Because rest has to be earned.

But what if it doesn’t?

These six prompts are for the woman who has been strong for so long she forgot what it feels like to just… be.

Not productive. Not needed. Just herself.

💛 Save this for tonight when the house is quiet and you finally have a moment that belongs only to you.

Which prompt hits hardest? Drop the number below — I read every one. 👇

The CV that got me hired never taught me who I was.

But a conversation with my best friend — about a lobster — changed everything.

I’m submitting this as my speaker application for and because I believe this:

The most powerful transformations in a woman’s life don’t always come from big moments.

They come from one honest conversation that cracks something open.

As a nurse practitioner with 30 years in healthcare and the founder of , I’ve spent my career studying what actually changes people — and it’s rarely what we expect.

It’s the story you were too afraid to tell.
It’s the friend who laughed at her own failure.
It’s the moment you realize your shame has been holding you hostage.

That’s what I want to bring to your stage, Emily.

Not a perfect story.
A true one.

When you practice gratitude consistently, your brain begins to shift its default pattern away from threat detection and toward possibility.
That is not inspiration. That is prefrontal cortex activity.
I built LetSoul because I watched chronic stress quietly dismantle women for three decades.
There is a better way and the science backs it.
Save this if you needed the science behind why this works. And if you have questions about what consistent gratitude practice actually looks like — that is exactly what I built LetSoul for.
