I’ve made so many new hair goodies for you all as .of.her.kind makes its 2024 debut! I’m so excited to see what everyone thinks.

I’ve made:
• patchwork bows and fluttery bows from Upcycled fabric
• hair bandanas with a scrunchie band
• super cute charm clips with bioresin pendants
• adorable bioresin statement rings that are adjustable!

I also have my signature scrunchies, hair jewelry, and standard bows in a new style called Picnic Blanket Bows.

Hi everyone,

We need a huge Saturday and Sunday (9a-3p) here because it may be the last.

I’m thoroughly disappointed that I have to share this but, the bakery may be closing on Monday. I have given everything I have and owned to making this dream sustainable and while the recent changes have helped and put us on a path to being sustainable without financial help we cannot continue to operate. We are working with our lender the Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union to make it possible to continue to bake for our community but without the support from the public and our customers it may not be possible for the CU to help.

When the bakery started I knew what I wanted to do, what I didn’t know was the toll it might take on the business. I’ve given back to this community publicly and privately and have done so in many different ways. From donating or discounting cupcakes, cakes, cookies to our Police Officers, Firefighters, and EMS peeps to Brian’s Angels, SVDP and others. When tragedy hit our city in 2022 we stopped everything to support BPD because they needed to see that and deserved to have that.

I have also used my bakery’s platform to stand with and support the LGBTQ community even though it’s cost me customers and revenue. I still stand with them because they deserve that.

But now I’m asking for your support because I’ve given everything I can. And I want to keep supporting my community and making cakes that bring joy to people’s lives, especially the very special cakes for a very special BPD family

We will be making as much as we can today for this weekend and will be super stocked up on Saturday for the storm.

And if this is the end of my journey I want you all to know that I love everyone of you! Including those who weren’t happy with me or my work because it made me better. I wish you all the joy and happiness in the world!
