Hello Beautiful Souls!
I have been selected to participate as a contestant (FABULOUS OVER 40!) with a beauty magazine called New Beauty, and feeling incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

The prize? My fabulous face (I know, taking liberties already!) on the cover of their magazine and a cash prize of $40,000. On their website I answer a few questions about myself and what I would do with the money if I won. You'll have to mosey on over there to find out, now won't you! Haha. Halloween🎃will be upon us before we know. So, I'd like to talk about a ghoulish trend that, sadly, doesn't only happen in October. Ghosting. 👻

👻 Ghosting can do more harm than you think and for many reasons, including:

👻Lack of closure: Ghosting is a form of silent treatment that can leave people feeling powerless and silenced. People who are ghosted may feel like they are not worthy of an explanation or that they were disposable.

👻Ghosting can harm self-esteem, as people may feel like they are at fault or that they were not worthy of an explanation.

👻 Ghosting can hit people at a vulnerable point, as it can signal that they might be losing someone they love or wanted to love.

👻 Research shows that when people feel rejected, the brain's pain receptors light up in the same area where they feel physical pain.

👻 Ghosting can confirm people's worst fears - that they are not lovable.

👻 People who are ghosted may question if the other person even cared about them.

👻 Ghosting can leave people feeling stuck in a frustrating limbo.

So, before you just slip away into the ethers because it is easier than "having that conversation," own your needs, wants and desires and communicate that instead. You'll be surprised how understanding most people are, because, guess what? They have their own, too.
