Three Blondes One Bright Idea is teaming up with local businesses to be a drop off location for care packages for the firefighters fighting so desperately to contain the fires surrounding us.
HELP NEEDED: There are currently over 500 firefighters on the fires in our area. With the storm coming today, it may get worse before it gets better.
My friend Shannon French is teaming up with Charlotte from the Ontario Fire Department. She is making care packages to be delivered to the men and women fighting the fires. She has coordinated a few donation drop off locations and will deliver the items to Charlotte. Donations will be accepted through 4pm this Friday and we will reevaluate needs next week.
Below is a list of needed items:
-personal hygiene products like deodorant, toothbrushes and paste, Q-tips, etc.
-Mole skin (for blisters)
- individual jerky packs/sticks
- individual trail mix (preferably without chocolate)
- granola bars that won’t melt
- liquid IV packets (or similar)
- packets of gum
- chapstick
- long socks
- saline eye drops
- individual wet wipe packs
••baby powder and/or foot powder
••instant coffee
Any other snacks you can think of that won’t get destroyed in their packs are welcome too.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations.
*Bordertown Coffee and Bake Shop - 907 NW 16th St, Fruitland - Open 6am-8pm
*The Club - 109 N Plymouth Ave, New Plymouth - Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00pm-8:00pm
