Beautiful and rare vintage cherub wall pocket by Mallory Ceramic Studio, designed by Jamar for the Marcia of California line and dated 1962.

This stunning mid-century piece features three sculpted cherub faces above an ornate gold and pastel green wall vase. Designed to hang on the wall and hold faux, dried, or silk florals, it also displays beautifully on its own as sculptural wall art.

Mallory pieces were produced in California in the early 1960s and are now highly collectible, especially large figural wall pockets like this.

Description
Charming vintage mid-century ceramic salt and pepper shakers featuring a playful dolphin and smiling whale. Made in Japan for Kelvins Treasure (known for whimsical figural shakers in the 1950s–60s). Glossy airbrushed gray/blue finish with big cartoon eyes. Both retain their original red & gold Kelvins Treasures foil stickers on the base. Great addition to a retro kitchen, tiki bar, or nautical collection.

Condition notes: Overall very good vintage condition. Light surface wear/paint rub typical of age; original cork/plastic stoppers present (see photos for close-ups). No chips or cracks.

Description

Charming vintage ceramic mold or wall plaque featuring a beautifully hand-painted yellow and brown butterfly in relief. The glossy white glaze shows subtle crazing typical of older pottery. Back has a metal hanging loop for easy display, or it can be used as a decorative jelly/cake mold.
• Size: approx. 8.5” diameter x 4.75” deep
• Embossed maker’s mark on the back (see photo – appears to read “BBC” or similar)
• Ready to hang with attached loop
• Off-white/ivory glaze with hand-painted butterfly detail
