I've only shown this photo to a couple of people before, maybe 3 or 4 at the most, but it's from the first time I ever saw Josh in person.
We'd known each other for years and talked now and then on Discord, but he was hesitant to give someone he'd never met his home address, so when I texted him that I wanted to hang out, he told me to meet him down the street at an Albertsons.
So about 30 minutes had passed by, and I'm just sitting in my truck in the middle of the parking lot, when out of the corner of my eye I can see someone way off in the distance, on the other side of the street, waving something around. I didn't pay much attention to it at first, because I thought it was someone flagging down a passing car, but they kept moving their arm around after all the vehicles had passed. Squinting to try and get a better look, I realized that it was the King himself, Joshua Fay Saunders, and he had been waving his magic wand at the traffic lights in order to cross the street.
His spell worked nicely, quite nicely indeed, and he was soon making his way into Albertsons. I slammed my shifter into drive, rolled down the front windows, put "Crazy Train" on the stereo and cranked it up as loud as it could go. At that point he had already made it to the gas pump area, so I raced over to him as quickly as I could.
In my mind, I thought maybe it'd look cool zooming up and slamming on the brakes like sideways or some s**t, but to Josh, I think I looked more like a troll that was about to run him over; I could tell by the way it startled him. But as soon as he heard the Ozzy tunes blasting, he smiled, gave me the horns and let out a "YEESSSTHH DUDE!"
Anyways, we took off and he showed me where Alex Anderson was cremated (RIP), we went to Frosty's for a coupla beers, played some Ozzy on the jukebox, he conjured a chi ball in front of everyone at the bar, and some fine of age cougars were asking him all sorts of flirty questions. We left to get food hacked burritos at Pancho's, then he invited me in to meet Shon and gifted me a bar of Bond Tactical Soap.
Cobra was a gothic bad boy, unashamed to be himself and was truly something much more powerful than a wizard.
