Hello all!!! Did you know Creators need breaks and revitalized spirits to be able to make the BEST things, to outpour from a full well, instead of an empty one? We do, and I’m sure thats something we all need.

So, I’m taking a short break from alterations while I find and relocate my Joy2Sew alterations business. I’m using this time to refuel my spirit and soul, and reignite my creativity and passion.

The two biggest costume projects of my summer (while working and attending university!) are now officially complete!

Jay is going to wear his custom Fallout look to Dragoncon this month, while Tim has already blessed a multitude of veterans with his new Wookie look we made together (and also heading to Dragoncon)! So excited for you guys!

Shout out to my husband who made all of the gorgeous custom leather for the Fallout look!

My gorgeous (and now grown) niece modeling the fun Jasmine costume I made in 2019. My original intention after this movie release was to make another sewing pattern, and while I tried, I never pushed this one into the testing stage. Full on prom and bridal season and yet Steven and I find a way to make some costumes! For Mando, we bought a flight suit, and I took off the sleeves, added stitching, added a top sleeve before reattaching them, and followed with some leg detail stitching and thigh panels.

Jean thread in wheat color was excellent to get those lines so beautiful!

As he builds his armor, I’m working on the backpack for baby Grogu, Padme’s Arena outfit for myself, and another little girl debutant dress…all in between the prom and bridal dresses, and college courses 😆.

Life is fun if we make time for the fun, right?
