Holy moly, guys! We've been quiet for awhile. And we're popping back up with some not so great news.
After a lot of consideration, we have made the decision to pull the plug on Urbal Syndicate. Maybe just for now. We'll revisit it down the line. But for now, the website is closed and our designs are no longer available.
We put a lot of effort into making fun tees and sweatshirts. We got to be creative and work together. We had a lot of fun on our photo shoots with the kiddos.
And we had fantastic support from friends and family, who bought our things, wore our things, and tried to help us spread the word.
Unfortunately, our friends and family weren't enough of a customer base to keep us going. Competition is stiff, especially with the surge of fast fashion. We couldn't compete with those prices, and even with paid ads and other attempts at getting our name out there, we still couldn't get a foothold. Business is tough, especially right now.
And, also, life happens. It takes a lot to run a business, even an online one, and with two people who have jobs and other responsibilities already, time can become scarce easily. And no matter what, we never want to lose sight of what matters most to us - our kids and each other. Keeping our priorities straight meant there wasn't always enough time to pour into the business in a productive way.
We're okay with that.
We're okay with this decision.
So, thank you to everyone who supported us along the way. We really appreciated it and felt the love behind every purchase. We hope you continue to enjoy your apparel (we plan to) and maybe we'll see you again with some fresh plans soon!
