I have always implemented a bedtime routine for our kids since they were born, and even now my pr***en has maintained a bedtime routine that is so extensive I'll have to go live for you to believe me. He is quite particular, to say the least.

Two things have remained consistent in his bedtime routine:
Reading before falling asleep, and Mommy has to be the last person he sees, hugs and kisses before closing his eyes. I can't express how much both of those things make me feel.

Bedtime routines are extremely important, and not simply for kids. Even as adults, we should have our own routines. My nights always end in nightcap conversations with the Hubs, prayer, and gratitude.
