Strategic Alignment and Brand Design

Finally, achieve strategic alignment across product, marketing, and sales—through brand design with Chris Cureton, the creator of The United State of Brand Design Framework™. But something’s off:

Your strategy feels clear in the boardroom, but gets lost in translation. Your marketing and sales messages don’t fully reflect what your business can do. Your team

is moving fast — but not always in the same direction. You’ve tried traditional brand work. It didn’t go deep enough. You’ve tried new tactics. But tactics without alignment just create noise. What you need isn’t more ex*****on. You need clarity — the kind that aligns people, priorities, and positioning. I work with CEOs, CMOs, and leadership teams to align their organization around a shared strategy — one that shows up consistently in how they talk, sell, and grow. If you’re almost aligned, you’re not aligned. Let’s fix that

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who joined yesterday's AMA lunch‑and‑learn where I talked about not letting the lack of qualifications stop you.

Thank you for bringing your curiosity, energy and thoughtful questions. It is always a privilege to have someone listen to your story.

For me it was your engagement that made this conversation powerful, and hearing your stories and ambitions made it even more meaningful.

A special thanks to the organizers at American Marketing Association and everyone who made this event possible.

Looking ahead: If you’d like to continue the conversation about career growth, strategic alignment or turning principles into action, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Let’s keep building momentum.

Here’s to turning curiosity into mastery, with or without a degree.

What's your greatest weakness?

Career advice from the guy without a bachelor’s degree: What looks like a weakness might actually be your greatest strength. Not having the same credentials on paper made me hungrier to learn, and pushed me to learn differently. That difference became my differentiator. So if you’ve got gaps in ...

Faith without works Is dead.

I’ve worked myself into a heat stroke before. I’m that determined (or maybe just stubborn). Faith without works is dead. It’s a principle that’s anchored me. Because a vision only becomes reality when you put in consistent effort. When you marry belief with discipline. When you play the infi...

Be careful how you label someone. You might be shaping their entire self-view.

One teacher changed how I saw myself, and it shaped my entire career. I learned two life-changing things from my high school art teacher who called me a “Renaissance Man.” I didn’t always know it, but I’ve always been good at finding connections. Connecting dots. It’s why people pay me to ...

My career story:

I have a confession to make: I don’t have a bachelor’s degree. Every week I watch peers and clients connect over their alma maters (even when it’s not football or basketball season.) I smile and nod. But I never jump in. Not because I’m ashamed, but because I’ve never felt the need to expl...

Are we connected on LinkedIn? I’ve got a newsletter on there where I’m sharing what I’ve learned throughout my career about Strategic Alignment and Brand Design.

I’m obsessed with strategic alignment and brand design. I went to school for graphic design.

Why hats?

Some people wear their identity on their sleeve. I wear mine on my head.

For me, hats have always been more than style. They are statements. Shields. Symbols. A way to show up with intention, even on the days when I’m not sure what to say.

That’s what brand is, too. It’s how a business puts itself out into the world — consistently, confidently, even when things are messy behind the scenes.

So yeah, I’m designing hats. But it’s not just merch. It’s a reminder: we all wear many hats, but still have to choose which one to wear and when.

Stay tuned for more.

It’s been a minute. Let’s catch up.

I haven’t been active here in a while, but that’s about to change.

Over the past few years, I’ve been deep in the work — building, designing, thinking, and refining a bigger vision for what brand design can really do for businesses.

Now I’m stepping back into this space to share more of that vision — not just the logos and visuals, but the strategic thinking that shapes how brands show up and grow.

You’ll start seeing more from me here: thoughts on brand, behind-the-scenes of my work, and yes… some limited-edition merch drops (if you know me, you know hats are a staple).

I’m not expecting to meet clients here, but I do believe in the power of community. If you know founders, CEOs, or heads of marketing who care about brand at a deeper level — I’d love to be in their orbit.

Grateful for the people who’ve been part of the journey so far. Excited to keep building.

Let’s go.

— Chris
