It's circa 1992 and I'm holding my firstborn.
Shortly after she arrived, I gave my life to Christ and never looked back.
Since that time I've had many highs and lows. But the one constant was — and is — God.
Through divorce. Single parenting. Jacked-up cars. Bankruptcy. Depression. Fear. And loneliness.
He's been there.
Through promotions, advancements, and now business ownership.
He's been there.
This morning a Darryl Coley classic was on my heart.
🎶 He's preparing me for something I can't handle right now. He's making me ready just because He cares 🎶
That's the word I needed to hear today. And maybe you need it too.
Because the answer isn't always obvious. The time isn't always now.
And what looks like a detour is often the preparation.
Every hard season I've lived through wasn't happening to me.
It was happening for me. Building something in me logic couldn't explain.
I call it Radical Belief.
The kind of belief that moves before it makes sense.
Faith that drives 144 miles a day to a "temporary" job.
Faith that goes back to school at thirty-three with five children watching.
Faith that brings ministry to the marketplace in an unconventional way.
That faith is a lifestyle.
And that lifestyle became a book.
Radical Belief is 40 days for the woman who has been through enough to know God is real and needs a gentle reminder her story isn't finished.
It's available now at radicalbelief.com.
The woman God is preparing you to become? She's waiting on you.
