Fatemeh Mousavi is the new owner of Gus’ Custom Tailoring, she bought the business in 2021 marking the start of her business endeavors in the United States. She moved to Charlottesville as a refugee from Afghanistan with her husband and three children. Eager to return to her profession she purchased her business that was founded over 45 years ago.
Abroad in Iran and Turkey Fatemeh ran her own shops that crafted custom pieces such as wedding dresses and shirts. She also altered clothing for both men and women. She served her local community as a master seamstress providing quality work.
Currently, Fatemeh is accepting new clients to provide her quality work for. The shop is operating fully and is allowing walk-ins. She is eager to serve her local community for all of its tailoring needs.
