You can’t go see Brandi Carlile and expect to leave with dry eyes. 😭✨
Last night, I threw this look together in 10 minutes flat while getting ready. I literally joked while filming that I didn’t know why I was bothering with makeup because the tears were guaranteed. They came, they fell, but the makeup stayed. Because I’m a damn good makeup artist
💅🏆This is my holy grail, everyday routine: flawless skin, perfect complexion, and a bright lip.
Last night’s fit was also a little tribute to Dolly Parton—think sparkles and sky-high heels. 💖✨
It’s been a hell of a week, but my makeup survived the tears and the concert was pure magic.Everything I used is listed below! 🪞👇

Super Boost tinted moisturizer
Miracle balm in Malibu
mascara and dual lip pencil
Super Stay #20 e.m.beauty lipstick
Boots

I am not a diehard country music fan , but I am a huge and forever fan of Dolly Parton. You don’t have to love country music to know what an incredible treasure she was, she is, and she always will be to the entire world.
Yesterday, I was struggling to find the words to express this deep sense of grief. But in this sorrow, we can all find profound inspiration from the life she lived and the person she was.
Dolly never forgot where she came from. She kept her roots close to her heart, famously saying:

“Find out who you are and do it on purpose.”

She was unapologetically herself, even though her looks and style constantly came under public scrutiny. Instead of changing to fit someone else’s mold, she stood tall in her identity and met the criticism with her trademark wit and confidence, once joking:

“I’m not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I’m not dumb... and I also know that I’m not blonde.”

Dolly achieved immense wealth throughout her career, but she never hoarded it. Instead, she poured her success right back into her community and the causes she believed in, embodying her own philosophy:

“If you see someone without a smile, give ‘em yours.”

Rest in peace, Dolly 🦋🪽🤍
Thank you for showing generations of women—and the world—how powerful and beautiful it is to be entirely yourself.

This is not your typical Wellness Monday post. There are no butterflies or puppies here today.
Today, we need to talk about how women are still being hunted down, ignored, and dismissed. This is not new, but I am so tired.
For the love of God, when is the world going to finally listen to women? When a woman asks for help, do not tell her she is being dramatic. Do not tell her she is “too emotional.” Do not tell her it is just in her head.I know this pain personally.
Too many times, I have been told that what I feel or sense isn’t real. I was told I was just being “extra.” But in the end? I was right. The people who needed help truly needed it. I needed it.
The tragedy of Hayden Panettiere is beyond heartbreaking. Lindsey Clancy, and so many beautiful souls before them—they deserved to be heard. They deserved to be believed.
To my sisters: We have to stick together. We must believe each other, because our lives depend on it.
And to the rest of the world: Start believing what we say.If you are not feeling well, or if you do not feel safe, please say something to someone. Speak up. Cry out. And to anyone listening: For God’s sake, pay attention !

Last year on this date, my beloved soul dog Sonja left this earth at age 14. Actually, I had to let her go. She left seven months after my husband left us.
There was not enough bubble wrap to wrap my broken heart from grief on grief, but being a pet parent is also knowing when you have to let them go.
Sonja was our first dog together. We adopted her when she was eight months old from PAWS. She chose us, and we fell in love immediately.
Even though she was obsessed with Ron, she was my soul dog.She was my spiritual gypsy, my nomad dog.
She stayed with us in hotels and went on road trips without the blink of an eye. She stood up in our wedding and grew up with our granddaughter, both learning about this world together. She lost her eye to glaucoma, but let me tell you something—she didn’t lose an ounce of her s***k. She was always smiling !
When we moved to the country, she immediately became a lady of the land, roaming the acres on her own and coming from behind the barn out of the blue.
She made me fall in love with the husky breed and inspired me to get involved in the rescue and adoption world.
She was a beautiful guide dog for our second husky, Luna, whom we lost a year before Sonja.
She was with me when I decided to move out to give my husband space to heal. She was with me when I took Ron to the hospital for the last time. She visited him in hospice and stayed very patiently at my mom’s for seven weeks while I took care of her favorite human until he took his last breath.
She let me cry on her fur on the floor, night after night, and comforted me when I couldn’t get out of bed from grief. And then, she decided that mama was doing OK-ish and she could leave.
Forever in my heart. There isn’t a day that I don’t miss you so much, my soul dog.
Thank you for sending Kanela. ❤️
