For over 30 years, Tracey has been the force behind some of Chicagoland’s most unforgettable fashion moments.

As founder of Zzazz Productions, she has mastered every dimension of the runway — from collaborating with designers backstage as their collections make their debut to mixing music and cueing lights.

A fashion expert, television personality, and CEO of the Driehaus Design Initiative, Tracey brings a rare 360° perspective to everything she touches — and she’s bringing all of it to our panel.

We’re honored to welcome Dana Asady, founder of Mabrook and aŚady, to the Behind the Seams panel at Chicago Fashion Week x Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Dana’s path is unlike any other in the industry. A background in science and engineering, a decade in high-end ready-to-wear, and a couture philosophy where structure meets soul — she brings a rare lens to the creative process. Her work has graced international fashion weeks, red carpets, and major film premieres. Her newest chapter, Mabrook, is an ode to her Iraqi heritage and a redefinition of what bridal luxury can mean.

On this panel, Dana will pull back the curtain on what it truly takes to produce a fashion show at the highest level — the precision, the vision, the nuance, and decisions that never make it into the photographs.

For more than 100 years, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra has stood as one of the world’s most respected musical institutions. Now, the CSO joins forces with Chicago Fashion Week to present Behind the Seams: A Symphony of Style at the CSO. Designed as a pre-concert panel + concert experience that brings together two art forms in conversation.

This evening continues the creative dialogue sparked by The Red Thread, extending the conversation beyond the runway and into the processes, people, and perspectives that bring fashion to life.
The night begins in the ballroom with “Behind the Seams”, a panel exploring what it truly takes to run a fashion show from creative vision to ex*****on told through multiple perspectives across the industry.
After the panel, guests are invited into the concert hall for a Chicago Symphony Orchestra performance, completing the evening with live music at Symphony Center.

One ticket includes both the panel and the concert.

Guests can attend for $35 (any seat except box seats) using code FASHION.

Chicago Fashion Week returns October 8–18, 2026.

After a record-setting second edition with 61 events across 49 venues and thousands in attendance, we’re gearing up for CHI✶FW 2026 to celebrate the style, culture, and creative force of this city.

“Chicago Fashion Week shines a light on what makes our city extraordinary – our creativity, diversity and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Mayor Brandon Johnson. “Fashion, like all art, tells the story of who we are. A returning CHI✶FW presenter, brings a new event to the 2025 schedule: Shadow and Silk Fashion Gala: “When Urban Streetwear Meets Dandyism” on Friday, October 17.

Powered by and , the Shadow and Silk Gala is a high-fashion experience merging the bold energy of streetwear with the refined artistry of tailored design.

Featuring some of Chicago’s most innovative designers, the evening celebrates both behind-the-scenes craftsmanship and on-stage creativity. Guests can enjoy a cocktail hour with curated bites, signature drinks, and an early look at featured collections, all within a setting designed for connection, collaboration, and inspiration.

A new event joins the CHI✶FW 2025 Schedule: Fall Lookbook Launch by on Thursday, October 16.

Join SPACE 519 at their new store in Wilmette’s Plaza del Lago for an exclusive evening debuting their Fall Lookbook. Owner Jim Wetzel will showcase the latest arrivals and offer in-store styling, featuring pieces from top designers including Thom Browne, Tibi, Proenza Schouler, Victoria Beckham, and TOTEME.

Guests will enjoy a cocktail and light bites from The Lunchroom while exploring SPACE 519’s signature edit of contemporary fashion and lifestyle collections.

Chicago Fashion Week 2025 has arrived! We kicked things off at the legendary former Chez Paree nightclub, a place where the city’s creative spirit has always found a stage.
