These are some old progress pictures I took while making this dress and hat! I made this way back in 2022-2023, it took about 50-60 hours (I might be lowballing it). And all the material cost around $250 at the time but might be more now.
The dress was initially intended to have sleeves and I do still have those sleeves and they snap on, however I do like the dress a little better without the sleeves! The most time consuming part was figuring out a pattern that would let the dress keep its shape on the train when I walked, it ended up being a long tube of fabric filled with lightweight stuffing. Hole cut out for all the candles and then covered in flowers!
I plan to do a full cosplay after this year, hopefully after I have recovered from my surgery. In the meantime I’d love to share some of my older videos about the dress and also answer any questions anybody has now!
