Back during the pandemic in 2020 my custom t-shirt ๐ business was hurting like many other businesses during that unprecedented economical period. My Block, My Hood, My City was handling grant approvals for local businesses in the inner city and my business was a recipient of one of those grants. At the time the grant allowed me to purchase some much needed equipment that I couldn't afford at the time, but would help me level the playing field with my competitors so that I could attain more customers. It also allowed me to clear up some past due business debt at the time, which in turn allowed me to stay in business. I said to myself that when the pandemic was overwith that one day I would link up with the non-profit to give back in ways of volunteering and business services, to show my appreciation and on Friday September 26th I got that chance. So I caught up with Jahmal Cole the CEO & Ash Godfrey the Executive Assistant of My Block, My Hood, My City and was able to participate in the volunteer clean-up project in Avalon Park. There we helped elderly neighbors chop down trees that were impeding their power lines, garages, and alley space along with some other landscaping beautifications. This was the 1st but definitely will not be the last time that I myself and 2 Faced Apparel get out here in the trenches with My Block, My Hood, My City to do more volunteer work. If you would like to become a volunteer with My Block, My Hood, My City then they have another project coming up soon titled "Be A Part of The Lights" or any other volunteer opportunities that they may have, then you can click the link below to sign a interest form and become a part of their volunteer team.
