šØATTENTIONšØ This post hits a little hard for me and something I am very passionate about after dealing with my own stuff several years ago. For those who donāt know ,
June is PTSD Awareness Month.
Some wounds donāt bleed.
Some scars canāt be seen.
And some battles follow you home.
For firefighters, veterans, EMS providers, dispatchers, and Police Officers, the calls donāt always end just because the shift ends.
Sometimes itās the things weāve seen. Sometimes itās the things weāve lost. Sometimes itās the weight of carrying everyone elseās emergencies while trying to hide our own.
The truth is, strength isnāt pretending youāre okay.
Strength is having the courage to say youāre not.
If youāre struggling, youāre not weak.
If youāre having a hard day, youāre not broken.
If youāre carrying things you havenāt talked about, youāre not alone.
This month, Flip Flop Firefighter⢠stands with every brother and sister fighting battles nobody else can see.
