Not an advertisement, nothing to do with bootmaking BUT...

This is just an insight into my life a little. And the interesting thing about life is how fast it comes at you.

A year ago if someone told me I'd be completely free, healthy, owning and operating my own business, living outside my comfort zone and being fulfilled for doing so, I'd have called them a liar once I was done laughing at them.

Im not looking to tattoo for a living or a side gig. Just friends and family.

I decided to buy a tattoo machine and started to learn to tattoo back in april, because i always wanted to know how, since ive always been an artist, and have been practicing ever since. Today I put my first ink in my brother and sisters skin, a couples tattoo.

Might post pics once healed, they aint elaborite and its just line work (my least favorite) with some light shading, but they love them and want a bunch more in a realistic art style.

Guess we'll see what the Lord has in store next!

Handmade and hand lasted by a skilled shoemaker once meant something very special...

This picture isnt that. This is a machine lasted boot, that was built this year, 2026, and i wont name where from.

This trade used to mean something. It meant that when you bought a handmade shoe, you were getting the sum of the man's heart and talent manifested into something you wear every day, that he gave his lifes work to. It meant that the makers mark was his craftsmanship that he earned through failures and triumphs to master his craft.

The ever increasing greed and disregard for the spirit of this trade all over makes me sad. We should be improving upon what our shoemaking forefathers started and left for us to carry on, not finding ways to increase profit so we can have the nicest truck or the fanciest house or some sports cars.

I promise to all of you that I will never disrespect you by selling you majority machine made, soulless and poorly constructed boots or shoes for half of a mortgage payment. Theres no honor in it, theres no class in it and it further destroys the future of shoemaking and American craftsmanship.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

We will be at the Whitman County Fair Thrusday the 10th through sunday the 13th from about noon on!

We are going to be 2 spots down from the Whitman County Sherrifs Dept. towards the main enterance!

We are extremely excited to showcase our 5 styles of boots, 2 of which we have not shown anywhere yet, and maybe one more if things line up right!

So that being said if you are interested in custom boots made by hand right down here on the Palouse, come by and say howdy!

Introducing "The Tradesman"!

This boot is specifically designed for the folks that live on their feet in shops, fields, jobsites or anything else.

We used a smooth vamp and counter leather so they will take grease/oil well and improve water resistance.

We put a Christy crepe foam sole on it to mitigate standing or walking on concrete for long periods of time.

We added an 8 iron vibram midsole for additional support and poke protection in case of nails or screws.

We also added our classic steel shank for a long wearing and consistent feel so once the boot is broken in, its not breaking down.

So when your equipment breaks down, the job isnt going as planned, or the day goes to hell in a handbasket, your feet, knees, hips and lower back will thank you for this one!

Got something new for ya'll in the works!

We are designing a new style of boot for the ones who live on their feet, in their boots, and have done so their whole lives.

Our recent addition of lasts are giving us capabilities to produce some things that need to be created in place of the yearly $100 chinesium work boot. And thats exactly what we are going to do.

When that work day gets to that 12th, 14th or 18th hour, you shouldnt be focused on ripping your boots off.

Keep your eyes peeled in the next couple weeks, we have been excited to make this one for a loooong time!

WE DO NOT SELL HEYDUDES!

Unfortunately it seems that i need to address this due to the volume of upset people mistaking us for a different company.

We make custom handmade boots made to order only, resoles, rebuilds and repairs, in Colfax, Wa.

There is a company called "Frontier boots" dropshipping falsely advertised heydudes from China. That is not us.

We have reported this company several times and are hoping that the confusion stops soon as i do not sell outside of this area.

On that note, if your tired of Chinese crap too, shoot us a message and we can get you measured up for a pair of 100% American and still handmade boots!

We have a question! How do we feel about bringing back something like saddle shoes?

Been poking around working patterns for cowboys today and also on this rough design and figured id just ask!

Super great news and important announcement!

Firstly and most importantly, due to overwhelming request, we now have full capability to build cowboy boots! We also recieved enough lasts to create upwards to 10 new styles of boots and shoes in several variations!

Thanks to our friend down in Boise, ID, known as The Shoe Guy, a master shoe repairman and shoemaker, has selected us to pass the torch of shoemaking and help us move this to the next level!

It is with great humility and pride that we move forward into the future with the blessings of (some of) our shoemaking forefathers. And to Warren, thank you brother. We will do as you wish, and is our duty as shoemakers of the next generation to make these count.

Stay tuned folks, as a good friend and mentor of mine once said "things are going to be interesting!"
