One of the biggest challenges many of us face—especially those with ADHD—is the tendency to hyperfocus on tasks unrelated to what we originally set out to do. For example, I might sit down to work on a project, only to find myself falling down a YouTube rabbit hole instead. When this happens, the project at hand often remains unfinished. We want to change the stigma surrounding this experience. It’s important for the world to understand that this happens, and that it’s okay.

One of the biggest struggles when you have ADHD is being an anti-social butterfly. You constantly crave connection, yet the idea of being with someone in person can feel overwhelming or exhausting. It’s like you want to be part of the world, but only from the safe distance of your own space.
If your partner is neurotypical, it can be tough for them to understand why you rarely want to go out or socialize. It’s not that you don’t care or don’t want to connect—it’s just that your brain works differently. Social interactions can quickly drain your energy, and sometimes you need solitude to recharge.
So if you’re an anti-social butterfly with ADHD, know that your need for connection and your need for alone time aren’t contradictions—they’re just part of your unique wiring. And for those who love someone with ADHD: patience, empathy, and open communication can make all the difference.

It doesn't take much to show love to someone with Autism. Some may appreciate practical help, like assisting with tasks or chores. Spending time together, even if it’s doing something quiet or routine, can be meaningful. Thoughtful gifts, especially those related to their interests, can show care. Avoid overwhelming sensory environments (loud noises, strong smells, bright lights) if they are sensitive. These are just some of the ways to show you love them without needing words.

I have open mouth insert foot syndrome. I say things with no filter attached or I say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Being Autistic I struggle with communicating with others but I have to accept that is simply who I am. I am not longer going to change myself to appease everyone else. I am simply me. You can be simply you and accept that you are autistic without changing for others.

Have you ever felt like you don't belong, like being autistic or having ADHD is a bad thing? That's how most of us feel here at NeuroKind Clothing Co. With our clothing we want you to understand that it's ok to be different. Broken crayons still color which means we can still do the same things as neurotypical people can just in a different way.
