I like to be creative with fabric and colors, and am excited to use recycled teeshirts in some of my scarves! I found away to combine two of my favorite things! I've been sewing since I was a kid! I learned from my mother, who worked as a seamstress. She made clothes for my sister and me, and I learned that the first day of school means a brand new dress from mom! I also love crafts, so my sewing

has taken me into many projects. I have the fabric "addiction" - I just can't get enough! I got away from sewing when raising a ,family and working full time. Several years ago, I helped my mom (who was 90 years old at the time) make tote bags for her granddaughters for Christmas. I was drawn back into sewing and made tote bags and scarves for some of my friends. I found myself spending a lot of time in the fabric shop. My mind went back to its younger days, and I felt that creative spark return. I make flannel scarves because I love the soft comfort of flannel. I chose dogs ( and cats) as my theme - I fell in love with the beautiful animal print flannels! And I am a dog person through and through, but that's another story! Recycling teeshirts expanded my creative juices, and I was off and running! I am a retired teacher and Arfscarves is my business, my hobby, and my joy! I hope you enjoy my selection of scarves and other items!! Thanks so much for your support!
