Kiaya posted her video and Anna is out with her new baby so its my turn. For everyone behind the screen hi my name is Dani, for the last year or a bit more I have been the front of store manager, local artist liasion, event corridnator, and occasional chaos gremlin here at DIY. While I don't show my face on socials many of you know me. Today is not the last goodbye but it is significant in so many ways. DIY and its many patrons have been through so much in such a short time and I have learned so much in my time here. I can not thank Kiaya and Zeke enough for trusting me in their store and in their lives. I can not thank our community enough for continuing to help and support us at all times. I am so happy for the friend's and family I have made in this space. I am so excited to see what the future holds for DIY and this amazing community.

Thank you again for everything and we will see you all again soon.

Happy eve of the final week everyone! We went around the store and marked off fixtures! These are the types of tags you’ll see tomorrow, obviously the tags that say “not for sale” are not for sale, but every fixture available for sale will have a price on it. Think it’s worth less than the price? Give us a counter offer, the worst we can do is say no ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if it’s not marked with a price you can assume it’s not for sale. I personally don’t know how many fixtures we have for sale and what we have available for what price, so the easiest way to help us help you is to come into the store (as per usual we can’t hold anything anyways) happy shopping!!

Alright folks, as we enter into our final days before our little hiatus we have oneeee more little surprise for you. These last three days are pay what you want!! We’re doing this for a couple of reasons,
1. Because we can and in this economy?? Why not
2. We’ve had several members of the community reach out and ask to help support us in our future ventures, whether it’s helping to pay for a storage unit or help with the costs associated with switching to a nonprofit. Here’s your opportunity to buy some arts and crafts and support us at a price that feels comfortable for you!
We are asking for a suggested minimum donation of $5 per bag, but of course in true pay what you want fashion that number is entirely up to you! (We just like to have a baseline so folks don’t get overwhelmed trying to price out their items)
The more inventory we get out into the community, the less we have to move into storage when this is all done, so please com shop this week! We will also have fixtures marked for sale this week, more on that coming tomorrow!
