The kitchen is the heart of the home. I thifted this wooden heart and knew right away that I would paint it blue and white like the Salvadorian flag. I made the pupusa, pastalitos, and curtido out of clay and placed them in the center of the heart. Along with a poem about my son's favorite food, the heart hangs in the kitchen of Rial Beach House, ready to welcome you to enjoy El Salvador's national food. Que Rico!
